Justin Childers

Justin came to know Jesus when he was 16 years old while attending a small church with a friend. He became the senior pastor of MHBC in 2013. Justin married Jeanna in 1999 and they have 3 children. Their youngest son was adopted from Ethiopia in 2015. The passion of Justin's life is to exalt Jesus and serve His church by faithfully preaching the Bible passage by passage.

Justin Garcia

Justin grew up in a church that failed to take God’s word for what it is: God’s word. As a high school student, he saw there was something inconsistent and disingenious with this way of follwing God. This began his trek to be educated in the knowledge of God. Justin desires and loves to see God’s people grow in love of their God by knowing Him more deeply through His word. Justin and his wife Lacy were married in 2013 and shortly thereafter joined MHBC. They are currently seeking to raise their 4 children well alongside their church family.

Landon Hebison

Landon grew up going to church and trusted Jesus at a young age. He joined MHBC in 2010 while going to UMHB and became the Associate Pastor and Student Minister in 2013. Landon married his wife, Mary, in 2014. Together, Landon and Mary are enjoying (most of the time!) raising three kids. Landon desires for MHBC to be an ever-increasingly faithful embodiment of Jesus in the Miller Heights community.

Preston hughes

Preston began following Jesus at 8 years old and continued to grow in the faith through high school and college where he was heavily invovled in collegiate ministry. He married Athena in 2020 and they have one daughter. Preston serves as the IT Manager for Reaching and Teaching International Ministries and is working towards becoming a chaplain in the Army Reserves. He is passionate about discipleship, the local church, and the nations.

Mike Kahler

Mike became a follower of Jesus in Feb of 1987 at a youth retreat his senior year of high school. He and his family moved to Belton in 2018 and began attending MHBC in 2020. Mike has been married to Karla since May of 1997. They have 5 children, 1 daughter and 4 boys, ranging in age over a 10-year span. Mike is passionate about the songs and lyrics that are sung on a weekly basis and seeks to lead the church in gospel rich songs that are faithful to the teaching of the Bible.
