Description

We will be partnering again with Galveston Urban Ministries (GUM), an organization that works in the North Broadway neighborhood of Galveston. On the surface, the North Broadway neighborhood is marked by poverty, brokenness, and a lack of thriving businesses. But, just under the surface, there is a current of transformation and GUM has been a key player in this. GUM has rooted itself in their community and seeks to:

1. Engage in deep relationships and express the love of Christ
2. Equip churches, businesses, and individuals with the tools they need to fight poverty
3. Empower our neighbors and help them create sustainable, God-honoring lives

Expectations

Serve Week is designed to be a hard-working week where our most mature youth have high expectations placed on them. Our youth will be entrusted with responsibilities ranging from planning, organizing, and running a Vacation Bible School, to cooking dinner and cleaning up for the team, to working alongside volunteers from GUM in serving the North Broadway community.

Application Process

1. Complete the application below.
   Applications must be turned in by May 18
2. After the application deadline, we will set up an interview with you.
3. Serve Week leaders will then make final determinations on the team.
