MISSION STATEMENT: The purpose of the MHBC Youth Ministry is to introduce teenagers to the love of God so that they may grow in their faith, praise the name of Jesus, experience authentic Christian community, and offer their service to Him.

YOUTH MINISTRY
1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV) - Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.
GOAL: Our goal is to graduate students from high school who don't graduate from the church and their faith in Jesus Christ.
WELCOME! * MHBC Youth Ministry reaches out to a team of students who are learning to focus their lives on serving Jesus Christ with everything they have. We aren't always perfect at doing so, but we are journeying through this life together in a community that loves one another and the world that we are in. * We meet every Sunday morning at 9:15am for Sunday School in the shed, and then we go to worship with the rest of our church at 10:30am. * Sunday evening we meet for a small youth Bible Study, and on Wednesday night, the youth worship together from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Contact Information: If you need a ride or have any questions, please contact Jeff Burns at his office by calling 254-939-1835 or call his cell phone at 254-654-9407.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bio: My name is Jeff and I’m the Student Minister at Miller Heights Baptist Church. My wife, Kathy, and I have been married for over 2 years and we are both Indiana natives and alumni of Indiana State University (I studied Communication Studies and Kathy studied Music Education). We are currently enrolled at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. I enjoy playing my PS3 and Kathy hates PS3. Kathy enjoys listening to and singing country music and I hate country music. We both love Jesus, Blue Bell Coffee Ice Cream, and riding our motorcycle. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at your convenience. Thanks for stopping by our site!
CANstruction is a Success! The 2nd Annual CANstruction Event at UMHB in Belton raised over 25,000 cans of food to help feed the hungry in our area. The MHBC Youth CANstruction Team project won a special award during the awards ceremony – The Community Favorite Award – which was voted on by the public on Friday and Saturday! Their mountain with three crosses and an empty tomb received about 50% of the people’s votes. Congratulations to our Youth, to Landon Hebison, Jeff Burns, and all the people involved in this wonderful event!
Youth Camp Sponsors Needed! Youth Camp is in July this year, and many of the youth will need someone to sponsor them if they are going to be able to participate. If you need help with projects/chores around your house and would like a youth or two to help, they can make this happen! If you would like to help sponsor one or more youth, please contact Jeff Burns at 254-939-1835. The total cost of camp is $220 per student until May15th. After that, the cost will be $250.
